13 Questions is a quickfire series of questions on life, style and decades, as answered by the women we love, admire, want to be, are.

They're short, fun and lighthearted reads.  Designed to provide a glimpse into lives of women just like us, in the hope of individually inspiring and connecting; making you feel better, understood, or simply entertained.

And collectively helping to shift the societal perception of menopause as old and of women over 40 as kind of invisible or irrelevant ... or old. wt actual f, we're so not old!

To something which more accurately resembles reality - fun, vibrant, albeit tired, sometimes grumpy, definitely more wrinkly; playful people, doing cool things and contributing in giant ways to life, especially our own very alive lives.

My hope is that you'll pop in here for a little entertainment, a little connection and inspiration, and sometimes even a little trip down memory lane.

So please comment and enjoy, and if you or someone you know would like to answer our questions please message us at hello@bonlabel.com.au.

And one last thing - our 13 Questions are answered by women 40+ but readership is open to all.  This is a place for everyone to share in a little golden shimmery slice of life in, and beyond this cracking decade.

xo, Linda

And if you're curious as to why 13? ...

I used to be so scared of the number 13 and it just kept on popping up in my life.  I hated it!

But then I thought, given it keeps popping up, maybe I should just embrace it?  And why even was I scared of it - a number?!?  Why is 13 unlucky?

I googled it - there's various theories, in itself a solid reason to ditch the fear.  Of the two main theories though, one involves Christ's last supper and I'm not religious so I can disregard that one.

The other one involves the Knights Templar, who sound like good guys to me but whose deeds are not proven to be either good or bad.  They were arrested on Friday October 13 - so depending on which way you look at it, it could be a good or bad thing.

And also, to be fair, it's a little harsh to dislike a number because a bunch of Knights were arrested on a Friday night which happened to be the 13th of the month a really long time ago, and/or because Christ had 12 friends to dinner and one of them turned out to be a bit of a dick.

So I've embraced the number 13 as a lovely little number, and an equal and valued member in the whole family of other lovely numbers - like 5, which is my favourite.  Incidentally, and quite poetically, the number 13 also creates a capital letter B, my favourite letter.  More so a lower case b, but let's not get tied up in specifics.

So it was really no surprise that when I penned these questions, there were 13.

Happy days, lucky 13.
