these images share summery, vintage tones which take me back to my childhood. colours are equally muted and vibrant - reminding me of the lollies we ate, the adults we wanted to be, and the big fake plastic jewels we used for dress-ups. i hope this sparks a lovely trip down memory lane for you too x
a few of my favourite black + white images from the late 60's and 70's. these are all about shapes and composition. they're clearly vintage but feel so modern, almost futuristic. I love the creativity of that era, it feels so exploratory, but with incredible attention to detail and absolute respect for clean lines and white space. my virgo heart sings when i see these images.
in the absence of seeing family this christmas - and all year - my sister gifted me a doily made by my great-grandmother. it reminded me of the importance of little things, and that in the pursuit of 'the big thing' i'd lost track of what really matters.
