i have very little colour in my wardrobe, but i love colour in life.

particularly colour in vintage fashion photography.  there's something about the muted vibrancy of low tech film that makes an image feel richer to me.

fashion photography from this era also brings back memories of my childhood. looking through fashion magazines and imagining the adult I would one day become while playing dress-ups with gaudy coloured plastic jewels and eating colourful 1c lollies from my 50c lolly bag.

come with me on a joyful trip down memory lane -

a few of my favourite black + white images from the late 60's and 70's. these are all about shapes and composition.  they're clearly vintage but feel so modern, almost futuristic.  I love the creativity of that era, it feels so exploratory, but with incredible attention to detail and absolute respect for clean lines and white space.  my virgo heart sings when i see these images.
