I chose the name bon because it's French for good.

my style is heavily influenced by that beautiful, nonchalant ‘jeans, tee, heels’ Parisienneand my business ethos is grounded in goodness - so bon, French for good, was the perfect blend of my inspiration and ethos.  Goodness is the filter I use for everything in the business and I try my darndest at all times to be good to people and good to the environment, create good outfits, do good design and produce only very good quality.

So when I met Jeff from Liminal Apparel in NZ I knew I'd found a kindred spirit.  Jeff works with Freeset in India, an organisation dedicated to helping women escape the Kolkata Sex Trade.  With Jeff's help, and the considerable skills of Freeset's all female cutters, printers seamstresses and finishers, we created our very own bon Tote bag.

I'm incredibly proud and humbled to have worked with these great people - and the end result is a completely organic, ethical, comfortable, chic and really practical tote bag - it accompanies me to the studio everyday with my laptop and my other 'important' stuff.

I'm pretty stoked with our tote bag and I hope you guys are too - it's been a win win win win!

A lovely day and a cracking 80's soundtrack made me fall in love with menopause and the idea that through things we love (like great 80's music) we can channel the spirit of our free, unadulterated, world-is-our-oyster childhood selves.

so it turns out protein is not just for body builders - it's critically important for us too, especially during and after perimenopause.

Reference the table's (food + actions) for a super quick guide.  If you want more, there's additional information included below the tables.  This info is mostly about the things I found most interesting and thought you may like a little bit more of an explanation for.
