it's a widely known fact that menopause means hot flushes and alcohol induces these hot flushes.  safe to say, much of the 'here to help' literature around menopause recommends an alcohol free existence to keep flushes under control.  this sits well within the societal move towards zero alcohol adult beverage alternatives, and the mental and physical benefits of an alcohol-free lifestyle.   if you want to punch those articles in the face, read this.

i had an aperol spritz-fuelled idea to create an 'imperfect life chart'.  A handy snapshot - for ourselves, and anyone interested - of our life level of [im]perfection.  yup, kind of silly, but i kept thinking about it so I did it. my chart is basically illegible and not entirely what I was envisioning, but it ended up being quite a good thing to do.  if you're pursuing a perfect life and/or menopause is making the shit bits feel infinitely more shit, read on.
